Celebrating United Nations Day 2024 in Uganda

The activities to celebrate United Nations Day on 24 October 2024 in Uganda were held at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, Kampala under theme 'Good Health and Well-being' The activities involved UN and partners' staff. The activities included a marching procession through the city with Uganda Police Band. Fun activities included: sack race, egg-on-spoon race, balloon bursting competition and tug of war. There was a seven-aside football tournament. The Uganda Members of Parliament Football team emerged champions and lifted the UN Day Football Cup after defeating Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) staff in the final.
